![]() I guess the cartoon says it all with this one today... The ANC, which pretty much rules the House of Assembly by sheer numbers, yesterday expressed their disgust at the two major opposition parties' decision to walk out of parly. I suppose it's not that surprising - the ANC are pretty much always disgusted with anyone that is not a member of one of their own ranks. What is surprising is the large words that the chief whip for the ANC, Mathole Motshekga, managed to put together in describing this exodus.
Now Mr Motshekga this may come as a bit of a surprise to you, but it is the job of the opposition parties to hold the party that is in power (i.e. the ANC) to task. Add your comment

Who the hell does he think he is speaking about proper conduct and what is/isn't distinguished? Has he turned the mirror on his own party and El Presidente lately?
If you would be so kind, please explain why you are calling this racist.
Firstly, I'm not portraying the ANC as monkeys, but rather the chaotic [almost zoo-like] nature of parliament - as a whole. Parliament is a crazy place. The monkeys would be representative of all the parliamentarians.
Secondly, I don't see how it can in any way be construed as "racist". Perhaps, very loosely, "specieist" at best.
