Jacob Zuma... leading by example?

Zuma shows his leadership skills

Turns out JZ has fathered another child. By official counts this is now his 21st 20th but rumour has it that number is actually closer to 35. Whatever the number is, the ANC and SA president is not exactly setting a good example - especially in a country with an estimated 12 million people living with HIV (I know we should let sleeping dogs lie but he DID admit to having unprotected sex with an HIV positive woman before!).

By many accounts, Jacob Zuma is the most popular president SA has seen (since Madiba that is). One really has to wonder if this is due to his policies (what exactly are his policies?) or due to him marrying every second woman he lays eyes on and fathering a child with every other. Well, almost every other...

Perhaps this is all part of his master plan though: to ensure his popularity by becoming the nations father... literally.

Lastly... Tiger Woods has previously been linked with a sex rehab clinic in Cape Town. Perhaps he heard about Jacob Zuma's sexcapades (which are envious even by Tiger's standards), and maybe the real reason he was in SA was and to enquire about the polygamy laws and residency requirements.

I imagine that everything "westerners" think of as deplorable behavior, Zuma's followers will see as being a good Zulu. He is effectively a King and therefore in his culture is not really bound to anything he would see below him.

His plundering of public funds, taking of wives, adultery, squandering, siring of children are actually examples of good African governance culturally - and therefore endears him to his people.

Its just that the rest of the world no longer works that way. I need a shower just thinking about it!

Out of interest though - there is technically no such thing as adultery in Zulu culture. It is a mark of great Zulu men to have many children.

That said, it is something we should love to poke fun at :D

Some of you may have noticed a sneaky change in the child counter for JZ... well, yes, it is true. Embarrassingly I needed to decrement each count in the cartoon by one, as an avid reader pointed out the error. On the other hand, perhaps I should revert back to the 20/21 counter for a few weeks... who knows how many more are going to be crawling out of the woodwork.

I apologise for the inconvenience caused :D. No, really!

@facepalmer: that is a signature of the great Zapiro and it would neither be appropriate nor ethical to use that symbol.

Did you notice that Zapiro has re-affixed the shower-head to Zuma's head? Didn't take long now did it!

The Pope and Jacob Zuma died on the same day and because of an
administrative mix up the Pope went to hell and Jacob Zuma went to
heaven.
The Pope explains the situation to the administrative clerk in hell, and
after checking the paperwork admits that there is an error. "However",
the clerk explains, "it would be 24 hours before it can be rectified".

Next day the Pope is called and Hell's staff bids him farewell.

On the way up, the Pope meets Jacob Zuma coming down from heaven and
they stop to have a chat.

"Sorry about the mix up", apologizes the Pope.
"No problem" replied Jacob Zuma,

Pope: "I am really anxious to get to heaven"
Zuma: "Why is that?"
Pope: "All my life I have wanted to meet the Virgin Mary"
